Planning Inspectorate in Tower Hamlets

The Planning Inspectorate (PINs) is the government agency responsible for operating the planning process for the Thames Tideway Tunnel (the super sewer).

Now that Thames Water has handed in their application, all decisions about the project sit with the Planning Inspectorate. The first stage in the planning process is for people who are concerned about the sewer to register with PINs.

The period of registration is from 17th April to 28th May 2013.

The planning process for the Thames Tideway Tunnel is quite complex and is very different to the procedure you would normally go through for a new housing development for example. To help understand the process, PINs are holding events across the capital.

The Planning Inspectorate will be at:

Glamis Hall,
414 Cable Street,
E1 0AF

Thursday 2nd May 2013.

There will be a drop in from 10am to 7pm

PINs will hold a public meeting consisting of a presentation and Q&A between 7pm and 8pm
