Glamis Estate Xmas bash does Save KEMP proud!
Glamis Estate residents turned out at their hall in their finest attire on Saturday night for the annual Christmas Party.
Cable Street’s own fairy grotto
The hall was glittering and twinkling like a fairy grotto, the music was pumping and the drinks flowing.
The atmosphere was very merry, and with the free bar, so were many of the revellers!
Desmond Ellerbeck, Chair of the Glamis Resident’s Association, had worked hard at gathering wonderful prizes for the raffle which included a TV, blue ray player, an assortment of champagne and gift vouchers.
Generous partygoers snapped up the raffle tickets, and a grand total of £520 was collected.
£260 raised for the fighting fund
During speeches it was announced that 50% of the total was to be donated to SaveKEMP fighting fund!
The remaining half was kindly donated to the Glamis Adventure Playground, also under threat due to loss of funding.
Steadfast friends and supporters
Glamis Residents have been among our most strenuous SaveKEMP’s supporters; they have generously given their time and donated the use of their hall free of charge to us.
Community spirit reigns high on Glamis, and for that, and their commitment to KEMP, we are truly grateful.
